We had a wonderful week at Goose Nest House.
There is something for the whole family. Set in a beautiful location, the lake offered stunning views and provided the best entertainment nature can offer. Early evening was an incredible time to watch the bats flying out on their quest for food. The sheer number of birds settling on the lake or flying in formation was an amazing sight too!
The house is very well equipped for everyone. Our 2 year old squealed with delight when he found all the toys under the bunk bed and we had difficulty extracting cuddly Olaf from him on our departure!! DVDs and electronic games kept our 11 and 13 year old entertained and the binoculars came in very handy for my Father in law to do a spot of bird watching. There was also everything you might need when travelling with small children: high chairs, a potty, pushchair, baby monitor & lots of plastic plates, cups and cutlery for little hands. Certainly saves space in the car!
The kitchen is equipped to a very high standard. There’s always something I forget but it was a home from home - even had a useful drawer with scissors/matches/batteries/pencils etc.
The 5 bedrooms were all of a good
size. 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedded rooms and a smaller room with bunk beds. The 2 en-suites & main bathroom were clean and of an excellent standard.
Out on the estate there are swimming pools, play areas, a restaurant and a shop.
There is also a spa should you wish to pamper yourself!
Five star accommodation in a five star location!
Last Minute Mummy Rating: 5/5.
